AI INTEGRATION · INSURANCE UNDERWRITING · MALAYSIA
A thoughtful first pass,
so your underwriter
stays in command.
etoileagee works with Malaysian insurers to bring AI assistance into underwriting workflows — carefully, with full BNM, ISM, and PDPA alignment, and with every decision remaining with your team.
OUR SERVICES
Three engagements, each built for a different stage.
SERVICE 01
Underwriting Workflow Review
We read a sample of your firm's underwriting workflows for one line of business, sit with a senior underwriter and one chief medical officer, and write a brief on where AI summarisation could carefully assist.
- BNM, ISM, and PIDM-aware throughout
- Suited for IFRS 17-related operational reviews
- Written brief delivered to your senior team
SERVICE 02
Reading & Drafting Pilot
A measured pilot of an AI assist that reads proposal forms, drafts a first-pass underwriting note, and surfaces medical-report inconsistencies for human review. Integration is read-only and contained; underwriters confirm every decision.
- Six-week supervised period included
- Bilingual training support (BM & EN)
- Usage policy aligned with BNM and PDPA
SERVICE 03
Quarterly Underwriting Stewardship
A quarterly advisory engagement for insurance leaders whose teams already use AI assists. Each quarter we sample outputs, audit data boundaries, and write a brief for your chief underwriter.
- BNM, ISM, PDPA, and PIDM circular alignment
- Yearly written summary for audit committee
- Output sampling and data boundary audits
WHY etoileagee
Built for insurers who take care seriously.
Regulatory Discipline
Every engagement is designed around BNM guidelines, ISM protocols, PDPA obligations, and PIDM circulars. We do not treat compliance as a footnote.
Underwriter Sovereignty
AI assists with reading and flagging; your underwriter decides. Our architecture ensures that no system output reaches a file without human confirmation.
Written, Auditable Outputs
Every brief, pilot report, and stewardship note is a written document — signed, dated, and suitable for your audit committee or board review.
Bilingual Capability
Our pilots and training materials are available in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, appropriate to the working language of your underwriting team.
Contained Integration
AI access is read-only during pilots. We scope the data perimeter carefully before any engagement begins, and document boundary decisions in writing.
IFRS 17 Context
Our workflow reviews are suited to insurers preparing for IFRS 17-related operational changes, where process documentation and efficiency evidence are needed.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP
Where in your workflow could AI read first?
A brief conversation with our team is often the right place to start. We'll listen before we suggest anything.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions we hear from underwriting teams.
Does your AI replace the underwriter's decision?
No. Our integration is read-only and advisory. The AI reads and flags; every underwriting decision is confirmed by a human. We document this boundary clearly in the usage policy delivered with every engagement.
How does etoileagee address BNM and PDPA requirements?
Each engagement is designed with Malaysian regulatory requirements as a starting point, not an afterthought. We review the relevant BNM guidelines, ISM standards, and PDPA obligations before scoping any pilot, and we document our alignment in writing for your compliance team.
How long does a Workflow Review take?
A Workflow Review typically spans two to three weeks from the initial session with your senior underwriter and CMO to the delivery of the written brief. The pace is yours — we work around your team's availability.
What does the Reading & Drafting Pilot cover in six weeks?
The six-week supervised period includes system configuration for your proposal form formats, bilingual team training, a monitored live period with daily check-ins, and a close-out report covering output quality, underwriter feedback, and recommendations for next steps.
Which types of insurers does etoileagee work with?
We work with both general and life insurers operating in Malaysia. Our Workflow Review is well-suited to firms preparing for IFRS 17-related operational reviews. Larger teams and composite insurers are welcome to enquire about tailored scopes.
Is the Quarterly Stewardship a long-term commitment?
The stewardship is priced and scoped per quarter. There is no minimum contract length required at the outset. Many clients find that after the first quarter they have a clearer picture of what ongoing oversight is appropriate for their team.
